REC-90
Ethanol-free marine gasoline
Unleaded, 90 octane, formulated for recreational and marine engines. It contains no ethanol, and engines that require REC-90 can be damaged by gasoline blends that do.

Ethanol pulls water out of the air. A boat’s fuel system is vented, the air here is humid most of the year, and a tank that sits between weekends keeps taking on moisture.
Past a point the water and the ethanol drop out of the gasoline together and settle at the bottom of the tank. That is phase separation. What is left on top has lost octane, and the pickup sits at the bottom.
Ethanol is also a solvent. It loosens varnish inside older tanks and works on hoses and gaskets made before it was in the fuel. Ethanol-free gasoline stores longer without either problem, and E15 is not approved for any marine engine.

The red dye marks diesel sold without the road tax, so an inspector can tell it apart at a glance. It is legal in vessels, generators, off-road equipment, fire pumps and agriculture, and illegal in any vehicle licensed for the road.

Stored diesel takes on water. It condenses inside a tank that is not full, settles under the fuel, and microbes grow along the line between the two. What they leave behind is what plugs a filter on the morning the generator has to start.

Before a storm and in the days after, fuel is the thing everyone needs and no one can find. We run emergency drops and hurricane deliveries when the situation changes fast.

- When you quote a price, how long is it good for?
- The price quote is good for one day. Since fuel prices change daily, we recommend a phone call to receive that day’s fuel cost plus the next day’s fuel cost.
- Do you have minimum purchase amounts?
- Our minimum purchase amount is 100 gallons.
- Can I get fuel delivered at specific times of day?
- Yes.
- How far do your fuel hoses reach?
- The fuel hoses that run from our trucks extend to a length of 400 feet.
- What other industries do you serve besides marine and construction?
- We offer fueling services to hospitals and clinics (backup power generators), grocery, retail and entertainment centers, local government, police and fire, power and utility, state and federal agencies, farm and industrial, hospitality complexes, and cell tower sites.
- Where do you deliver?
- Naples and Marco Island, and the coast from Punta Gorda to Everglades City. Dockside, at marinas, at job sites and at your tank.
- Which diesel do I need?
- #2 dyed for anything that stays off the road: boats, generators, fire pumps, construction and farm equipment. On-road for trucks and anything with a plate. If you are not sure, the order page has a “Not sure, help me decide” option, or call.
- Can you fill a generator before a storm?
- A diesel generator takes #2 dyed, and hurricane deliveries are something we run before a storm and in the days after. [CLIENT: how far ahead to book before a named storm]
- Is REC-90 the same as the non-ethanol gas at the pump?
- REC-90 is the name for ethanol-free unleaded at 90 octane. A pump marked non-ethanol or recreational fuel is selling the same grade if its octane sticker reads 90. The difference is that this one comes to the boat.
- Can I set up recurring deliveries?

- Do I need to be there?
- The order form asks for access details, a gate or dock code if there is one, so the driver can find the boat or the tank. [CLIENT: whether someone needs to be on site; how access is handled when nobody is home]
